Yolanda Okereke, a Fashion Entrepreneur, is celebrated as a prominent Costume Designer and Producer for Film and Television. She founded and leads The Rani Company, a costume design and styling firm, and The Wardrobe Shack, a costume rental store.
Yolanda launched her fashion label, Rani Gisele, while studying Chemical Engineering at the University. Since transitioning to Costume Design, she has emerged as Nollywood’s leading Costume Designer, contributing to acclaimed projects such as Netflix’s “Blood Sisters” and “Oloture,” and movies like “King Of Boys” and “The Wedding Party.” Yolanda’s collaborations span major streaming platforms and film studios in Nigeria, including Netflix, Amazon, and Ebonylife Studios.
In 2022, she became the first African Costume Designer invited by the Smithsonian Museum to host a Masterclass. Yolanda’s work has been showcased internationally, notably at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington DC. She continues to make strides in the industry, co-producing projects like “Radio Voice” and Showmax’s reality fashion show “Style Magnate.” Yolanda’s contributions have earned her nominations at prestigious awards like the Africa Movie Academy Awards and the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards.
